Model kit h-6k aka Tu16 Tupolev 16 1/144 4d model

Historical data

The Xian H-6K is a long-range strategic bomber operated by the air force of China. Developed from the older Soviet-designed Tu-16 bomber, the H-6K is a heavily modernized version with improved engines, avionics, radar systems, and long-range strike capability.

One of the H-6K’s main features is its ability to carry air-launched cruise missiles, allowing it to attack targets from long distances without entering heavily defended airspace. The aircraft can also perform maritime strike missions, making it important for operations in the South China Sea and around the Pacific region.

The bomber has a modern glass cockpit and more fuel-efficient turbofan engines, which increase its range and operational endurance. Military analysts often view the H-6K as a key part of China’s strategy to project power beyond its borders and strengthen regional deterrence.

Although the H-6K is not a stealth bomber, its long-range weapons and upgraded systems make it a significant platform in modern aerial warfare.

H-6K bomber model kit, scale 1/144, comes with a total of 3 runners:

5955A, 5955B, and 5955C.

Besides the runners, there’s also a cockpit canopy part and 2 stand parts.

So in total, there are 28 parts altogether.

This model kit is pretty simple and beginner-friendly. During assembly, you don’t need any cement glue, similar to Revell Snaptite kits.

For finishing, you’ll still need additional paint, since the box doesn’t include extra paint accessories or sticker labels/decals.

Unlike the C-130 Hercules model kit, this H-6K model kit doesn’t have any additional features. The landing gear parts are also fixed/static.
