Aegis Destroyer
Aegis destroyers are modern guided-missile warships equipped with the renowned Aegis Combat System, an integrated naval defense network designed to simultaneously detect, track, and intercept multiple air and surface threats.
These destroyers are used by several navies worldwide, primarily the United States Navy and allied maritime forces. Their missions include:
- Air defense
- Missile interception
- Anti-submarine warfare
- Surface combat operations
- Fleet escort protection
Advanced radar arrays and missile launch systems make Aegis destroyers among the most advanced warships ever built.
The 4D Model kit is produced in a 1/1000 scale. (For comparison, the actual full-size scale is 1/1). The kit consists of four separate parts, namely:
-
A stand made of black plastic.
-
The ship deck section, finished in a basic gray color with additional
detailing paint applied to several minor areas.
-
The ship hull section, painted in a dark red base color.
- Additional accessory parts for the upper deck area. These parts are still attached to a single runner frame.
- Last one, the simple instruction page
The USS Vincennes (CG-49) was part of the United States Navy and belonged to the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruisers. Commissioned in 1985, the ship was equipped with the Aegis Combat System, making it highly capable in air defense and multi-role missions.
However, Vincennes is also historically remembered for its involvement in the Iran Air Flight 655 incident, which brought global attention and controversy.
